BIDEFORD INTERACTIVE INTERPRETATION CENTRE

HERITAGE DISPLAYS IN OUR PARCELS & MISCELLANEOUS VAN

Visitors examining the extensive displays in the museum.

Our Parcels & Miscellaneous Van, otherwise known as the green van or PMV, was our museum vehicle until 2017, displaying the history of the railway through Bideford from 1854 to 1982.

In May 2019 it was reopened as an interactive interpretation centre following the receipt of funding from the Heritage Lottery, Bideford Bridge Trust and Bideford Town Council.

It contains a replica Ticket Office, a fabulous interpretation display, with beautiful information panels, a model railway and a high-tech touchscreen interactive.

It's an in-depth historical experience of life on the north Devon railways - come and see us!
