Instow Station

The main focus of BRHC at Instow is undoubtedly the signal box but some views of the station help to put the box in context.  Here a ball clay freight train for Barnstaple runs through the station and passes the box in 1979.  The old style level crossing gates are being replaced with lifting barriers.

An image taken looking towards Barnstaple and the signal box in the 1950s.   This shows all of the station to good effect.  The building on the left is now the base for the North Devon Yacht Club.

A current day view of the station, showing how the North Devon Yacht Club has considerably expanded the old station building.
