We have a very useful four wheel platelayers' trolley that we can use for transporting heavier items down our track. It came from Yelland Power station and had been donated to the old North-West Devon Railway Preservation Society in 1983. It arrived at Bideford a few years later after storage at Bodmin.
A great day was had by all celebrating the 150th anniversary of the opening of our station on 10th June 1872. Vintage vehicles were on display, there were operating model railways and loads of stalls for the afternoon. Yet again our train proved highly popular.
NEXT TRAIN RUNNING DATE:
Saturday 23rd July - 1pm to 4pm.
Travelling on and payment for the train
Only two passengers may travel at any time and children must be accompanied by an adult. Ride fares are £4 a head for adults and for children, but families with multiple children wishing to ride will not be charged again for the accompanying adult. Tickets might be available on the day but due to previous demand we strongly encourage advance booking, available by using the PayPal link below. Please leave a message with your payment saying it's for train rides and we will contact you with a time to ride.
